Installing Golden Arowana bamboo flooring can be a DIY project, but it is important to follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions to ensure a smooth and successful installation. Here are some general instructions for installing Golden Arowana bamboo flooring:

Prepare the subfloor. The subfloor should be clean, dry, and level. Any unevenness or imperfections should be repaired before installing the bamboo flooring.

Acclimate the flooring. Bamboo flooring should be allowed to acclimate to the room for at least 48 hours before installation. This means that the flooring should be removed from its packaging and left in the room where it will be installed to allow it to adjust to the temperature and humidity.

Install underlayment. Underlayment is a layer of material that is installed under the bamboo flooring to provide a smooth, stable surface. Golden Arowana recommends using a vapor barrier underlayment to protect the bamboo from moisture.

Lay the first row. The first row of bamboo flooring should be installed along a straight edge, such as a wall or cabinet. The boards should be aligned with the straight edge and spaced evenly.

Continue installing the flooring. The remaining rows of bamboo flooring should be installed by clicking the tongue and groove edges together. The boards should be staggered, with the end joints of each row offset by at least 6 inches from the end joints of the adjacent row.

Trim the final row. The final row of bamboo flooring may need to be trimmed to fit. Use a circular saw or jigsaw to cut the boards to size, taking care to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for blade depth and type.

Install transition strips. Transition strips are used to cover the expansion gap between the bamboo flooring and other flooring materials or adjacent rooms. They come in different styles to match the bamboo flooring and should be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
